Clicking on the button will open the PhoneFavs “Add a Bookmark” screen in a new tab with the Page Title and URL already prepared. It’s a handy way to quickly add bookmarks to your PhoneFavs account in addition to the standard bookmark buttons.

Download the Safari Extension here (8k). (Right Click, Save Linked File to Downloads…)

Download the extension above and click to install. If you don’t already have Safari Extensions enabled, you will need to them on first. Open the Safari Preferences, navigate to the advanced tab, select “show Develop Menu”, then from the new Develop menu, select the “Enable Extensions” option. Or follow the guide here.

Firstly, the URL structure has been simplified so that you can now access your personal Favs’ at:

http://phonefavs.com/username

Simply add your own username after the slash. This shorter (and easier to remember) URL makes directly accessing your Favs on your devices a breeze. Also the font for individual Favs has been embiggened with a larger clickable area for better finger browsability.

The Add a Fav form and the quick pop-over buttons now have the ability to remember your last privacy setting when saving links. If you prefer to select the private setting, it will remain selected the next time you go to save a link.

The browser buttons for your computer browser are the easiest way to save new bookmarks at PhoneFavs. They’re also great for quickly adding articles and content that you may want to revisit and read at a later time on your mobile device. We even have mobile bookmarklets that work with the iPhone, Opera Mini and a few other mobile browsers.

In addition, we have brought some optimizations online that should help the site run a bit quicker now.

Just wanted to let everyone know that PhoneFavs now fully supports all international characters, that is, anything other than the standard roman alphabet. We always had, yet a small database misconfiguration (just recently corrected) was preventing extended characters from being saved and displayed properly.

What this means in plain English is that if you want to bookmark a Japanese page with a title and description in Japanese characters, these will be properly saved and correctly displayed on PhoneFavs. The same goes for any other language, German, Polish, Russian, Thai script and so on…

The PhoneFavs bookmark importer is the easiest way to get your bookmarks online. Once imported your bookmarks are now accessible on any device via PhoneFavs and can easily be mobilized, searched and tag’d. The importer supports all major desktop browsers including Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox and Netscape. You can even import from del.icio.us as well.
